Roksolana Pyrtko: Celebrating 11 years of the Roksolana Shopping Center means sharing kindness

 

This October, the Roksolana Shopping Center celebrates its 11th anniversary. It feels like only yesterday we opened our doors to the first visitors — and today, “Roksolana” has become a place well-known and loved in Lviv. People meet here, spend their weekends, come with children or friends — and that, perhaps, is our greatest value.

Over the years, we’ve gone through many different times, but we’ve always stayed close to people. Thanks to this trust and support, we can celebrate another birthday not just as a business, but as a part of city life. For us, it’s more than a date — it’s an opportunity to thank everyone who continues to grow “Roksolana” together with us.

This year, once again, we chose to celebrate in a special way. For the second year in a row, on our anniversary, we decided to forgo large concerts and grand shows and instead direct part of the funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For us, it’s a matter of conviction: a celebration only truly matters when it helps others.

Together with the “1991” Foundation, we donated a Volkswagen Transporter bus worth 452,995 UAH to the 54th Separate Battalion. This vehicle will help the military on the front line in their daily work — transporting people and essential equipment. We’re proud to contribute to a common cause — supporting those who defend our ability to live, work, meet loved ones, and plan for the future.

Such initiatives are not a one-time act for us but a continuation of the philosophy that “Roksolana” has been building for years. To be the heart of city life means not only providing comfort and atmosphere for visitors but also remaining part of a community that supports one another even in the most difficult times.

Although this year our main focus was on charity, it’s still important for us that “Roksolana’s” birthday remains a celebration for our visitors. As always, we’ve prepared a festive week — with popcorn treats, prize draws, photo zones, and live music. It’s our way of saying thank you to everyone who has chosen “Roksolana” for shopping, meetings, and leisure over the years.

We can see how people’s moods change during these days: the center is filled with smiles, lightness, and a sense of shared joy. Some come with children, others meet friends after work, and some simply stop by for a cup of coffee. All these small moments create a special atmosphere — the very one we work for. After all, a true celebration is not about a stage or fireworks, but about the living sense of joy people share with each other.

We are grateful to everyone who has been with us over these eleven years — our partners, tenants, team, and above all, our visitors. It’s thanks to you that “Roksolana” remains a vibrant space — a place where everyday life meets genuine emotion. We will continue to grow, staying true to a simple idea: any celebration has meaning only when it brings people together and spreads kindness.
